Are there more than one size filter?
Yes, there are 2 sizes of the Pureatech System.The Regular Size System filters are 19-1/2 x 18-3/4, and the Large Size System filters are 19-1/2 x 24.
How can I tell the size of my system?
You can measure the filters, measure the length or check the wattage of the UV Bulb, or find the serial number located just above the door opening of the system. We can help identify your system size with any of the above information.
How often should the filters be changed?
It is recommended for a residential application to change both the Stage One Particulate Filter and Stage Three Gas Phase Media Filter every 60 to 90 days. This may vary with seasonal issues, dust or dirt loads and toxin levels. Your choice of Filter Pack Options include 12 Pack, 8 Pack and 6 Pack with or without the UVC Bulb.
How often should the UV Bulb be changed?
The UV Bulb should be changed every 12 months. It may illuminate beyond 12 months, but it loses its germicidal effect after 12 months.
Do you offer reminders?
Yes, we offer free filter & bulb change reminder service and reorder reminders via email. We also offer specials and updates sign up.
Can I change the filters and bulb myself?
If you can access your system then you can change the filters and bulb. Step by step directions along with a trouble-shooting guide come with your Filter Pack. Should you need additional assistance do not hesitate to contact us.

Should I run my furnace fan all the time?
Many variables can and should influence the decision to run your fan constantly. We recommend that you monitor the temperature and relative humidity throughout the conditioned space in your home. Running the fan on your central HVAC system with the Pureatech System will continuously clean the air passing through the system. You should consider several factors including, but not limited to, the location and condition of your furnace or air handler and the associated ductwork, proper sizing of your system, the climate in your area, your building envelope, your comfort and peace of mind. Running the fan continuously in climates that have colder winters and/or hotter summers where the system and ductwork are in unconditioned spaces like attics, crawl spaces and garages can consume extra energy in heating or cooling. If you suspect, or monitoring indicates, that the relative humidity inside your home exceeds 50% for more than 24 hours, we recommend running the fan in the auto mode and investigate the source of your moisture intrusion. When in doubt run the fan in the auto position. |
